Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture Gets New Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer The Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Silva has approved the appointment of Mr. Dudafa Ineye Johnny as the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture.
The appointment which takes effect from January, 2010 is consequent upon the engagement of Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma as the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation on the 3rd of November, 2009. Mrs. Festus-Lukoh Payeboye held forth for a while, preparatory for the formal hand over to Mr. Dudafa Ineye Johnny as acting and subsequently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Council.
This action by government is widely appreciated and applauded, as the outcome is best described as unique and significant: Mr. Dudafa has been a staff of the Council since 1985, from the old Rivers State.
He has the requisite professional education and developed a resounding career both as a worker and on the field operations.
It is a challenge on the efficacy of cognate experience as epitomized in the new CEO in organizational management. From his inaugural meeting, subsequent meetings with the different divisions of the Council and even in the regular general and management meetings held in the Council, the emerging policy direction is the effective mobilization of the functions and powers of the Council as provided in the enabling edict.
Staff, have therefore been enjoined to be diligent in their little bids to raise the service bars for the Council and be properly guided by the public service regulations in their work attitude. Mr. Dudafa Ineye Johnny, our new CEO means no less than the functionality of the entire Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture.
